45 Caliber 230 Grain RN Hi-Tek coated bullets

I tested 5 tips out of 10 handfuls of bullets to check for correct weight, striking, runout and coating. I have tried various ways to damage the coating prior to installing tips to see how much strength it has. The coating is done well and the striking is also up to standards. Never tried a Hi Tek coated bullet in reloading until these. Processed very clean in my Dillon, on par with regular 230 grain FMJ's. Loaded with my practice load with Titegroup and SP 45 Federal brass. Shoots consistent, definitely less smoke than conventional cast lead projectiles with the same load. Accuracy and function through my 1911's in my weekly drills, steel and paper, on par with anything I've used. Fairly clean shooting, no leading and an upgrade vs conventional lubed lead. These will be my new go to! Just got my shipment of 38 cal 158 grain SWC and looking forward to get these dialed in next week. Thanks much for a quality product and for including your "Tract"

In a point in time when quality is becoming a second thought, it is great to be able to purchase quality cast bullets. The bullet quality is great and the shipping time and cost is even better. I will be buying a LOT more.

Bullets arrived quickly. The coating on the bullets seem to make it easier to load my cases.

I am extremely pleased with these bullets. I was looking for coated bullets that wouldn't leave any coating residue (like leading) in the barrel of an H&K USP Compact, which has a polygonal barrel instead of standard rifling. Quick pass with a brush after shooting and the barrel was shiny clean again. They were VERY accurate with a reasonable dose of Accurate Arms No. 5. Best of all, the service was extremely prompt when all other bullet makers have a 10-12 week backlog during this pandemic. I recommend these bullets highly, and I will make all my bullet purchases from Hoosier Bullets in the future.

Shot out of a Cimarron Frontier Sheriff's Model loaded with Titegroup. Amazing performance and no fouling. Extremely easy to load and seat.

I loaded these using 5.3gr 800x, COL: 1.230, CCI 300 primers. The result was a 5 shot group at 30 feet of 1.038" S&W Shield 45. Other 5 shot groups were less than 1.487" I'll be buying more.
